The Indianapolis colts and Patriots have one of the better rivalries in pro football… only not this season. This match will likely be an unpleasant one and it will likely be the New England Patriots shoveling dirt on the Indianapolis Colts.

Changing Eras
It does not take a rocket scientist to predict the winner in this one. The Indianapolis Colts have been rendered impotent with the loss of Peyton Manning. Frequently criticized as a one man team, even the most noisy critic of the Indianapolis Colts might not imagine they would be 0-11 lacking him. The team has some talented participants, but let’s label this what it is – a race to get a new qb.

The Indianapolis Colts now lead the “Suck for Luck” race due to their horrible record. Luck, of course, refers to Stanford Quarterback Andrew Luck who will be the 1st pick in the nfl Draft and is touted to be…another Peyton Manning. With their eyes securely on the prize, the belief that Indianapolis will do anything other than come into New England and tumble on their sword is laughable. This team quit long ago and even its biggest foe isn’t going to change that. The coaches are too busy stitching “Luck” onto the back of a jersey to now all of a sudden rally the troops.

Rounding Into Form
Then we’ve got the Patriots. The team is undoubtedly rounding into form for a playoff push. The team isn’t lacking its shortcomings, still. The running game is pedestrian at best. The team relies on the arm of Tom Brady and rightly so, so this isn’t a significant difficulty. The passing game has a distinct weakness in spite of his brilliance. The wide receivers are modest and quick, but none are fast. There’s no deep menace and that may prove crippling in the playoffs. Fortunately for the New England Patriots, they’re able to work on their deficiencies versus an inept Indianapolis Colts team.

Who Triumphs?

In pro football, there are no sure things. The losing Indianapolis Colts at the New England Patriots? All right, there are some sure things in pro football. The New England Patriots abuse the Indianapolis Colts to the tune of 42 -3.
