Week 13 in football will be crucial for a lot of squads trying to make the playoffs. The story is one of two ships passing in the night in the situation of the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee titans.

Dream Now A Nightmare
The Bills were one of the great stories the 1st third of the 2011 Nfl year. The Bills came out like Bills of old that had gone to 4 straight Super Bowls years ago although they’ve usually been a doormat to the New england patriots and New York Jets in the AFC East division. It was a fairy tale with a qb from Harvard [of all places] leading them to a stunning 4 wins out of 5 matches.

Regrettably, the year didn’t end for the Bills at that time.

The rest of the year has been a disaster. The Bills have completely wasted their hot start by dropping 4 straight and 5 out of six. The squad is failing as a whole. One week the qb can’t hit the side of the barn, the next the defense does not appear. Perhaps the largest insult was this past week when playing the Jets. With an opportunity to win the game, “star” wide receiver Stevie Johnson dropped a wide open bomb down the middle of the field that would’ve been a touchdown and won the match. Whatever remaining confidence the Bills had diminished with that tough decrease and so did their year.

Opportunity Beckons
The Titans are a mediocre squad and their 6-5 record proves as much. Still, opportunity beckons for them. In the last two weeks, the division top Texans have managed to lose both their starting and backup qbs. With beer vendors trying out for qb in Houston, the Titans have an opportunity to make up their two game deficit and win the division. The question is are they going to?

The Titans are wildly sporadic. They’re able to hardly ever run the ball despite having one of the elite running backs in the game. They’ve got one of the oldest retread qbs in the game, yet he’s racing around the field and keeping them alive. The squad can play great one week, such as Week 2 when they squashed the hugely regarded Baltimore Ravens, or horrifically such as when they were able to lose to a poor Jacksonville squad. If you are able to find out how the squad will play week to week, please call their head coach. He would like to know!

Who Triumphs?
I’ll take the Bills. They’re playing hard and have plenty of talent. The Titans haven’t managed to win two matches consecutively all year. You know what that means now that they’re arriving from a victory.
